Our Team

GAYLE TREWORGY
President
Gayle grew up in the family business her father Robert Treworgy began in 1948. Gayle took a strong interest in the design aspect of the business. She attended the Butera School of Art in Boston, MA. After completing school Gayle came back to Bangor Neon to work with her father and mother. Many of the signs we designed were hand drawn by Gayle before computer software came in to play. She has adapted to the technology over the years and has made sure we stay ahead of the curve. With over 40 years’ experience she is without a doubt a master of her trade.

ANSLEY MOORE
Managing Director
Ansley returned to Bangor Neon after her grandmother Grace retired, and she is now the managing director. It was a natural fit to have Ansley back in the office as she holds a degree in Business Administration and Marketing and spent several years working within two large financial institutions. She has helped tackle several projects including partaking in renovations within the business. Ansley has also carved out a remarkable niche as the leader of her own successful real estate team. With a keen eye for market trends and a passion for helping clients find their dream homes, she has built a reputation for excellence in her community.
In her free time, she enjoys giving back to her community (doing so through several of her favorite charitable organizations), catching up with friends and family, volunteering for and attending all of her sons’ extracurricular activities, and spending time with her 2 sons, her husband, and their three dogs.

Jamie Mitcheltree
Office Manager
Jamie is an integral part of our work family. She wears many hats in the administrative field. Whether answering customer calls and emails, overseeing billing, processing invoices, taking inventory or many other related tasks, she always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude.
When Jamie is not hard at work, she can be found spending time her husband and three kids, carting her son and his many friends to various basketball games, having an iced coffee in one of her many glittery tumblers, (glitter is her favorite color), or devoting time with her closest friends and family. We are blessed to have such a dedicated, hardworking, office manager.

RICK HAWKES
Service Manager
For 40 years, Rick has been a master fabricator, sign builder, and installation foreman, honing his skills in a craft that blends artistry with engineering. He has been crafting signs by melding fine old-world craftsmanship with new-age techniques that please even our most stringent customers’ requirements. His expertise spans various materials, including steel and aluminum, allowing him to bring projects to life with precision and creativity. Beyond his technical skills, Rick is a mentor to every employee here at Bangor Neon. He shares his knowledge in every area and is someone that all of us look up to.
In his free time, you can find Rick spending time with his wife at home or out enjoying some good food and a margarita!

Outside of work Anthony enjoys working on race cars and spending time at the track with friends. He is also a skilled golfer and a sports fanatic.

In addition to overseeing our graphics department and fielding sales calls, Lee has taken the initiative to head our Electronic Message Center training. There is no project too large and no project too small for Lee to tackle. He is equipped with a can-do attitude and incredible skill.
In his free time Lee enjoys spending time at his beloved camp with family and friends. He also treasures his time spent in his work shop woodworking.

DAVID JIPSON
Senior Graphic Designer
Dave joined our team 20 years ago after working 5 years in the industry in the South Portland area. If you are looking for someone with a great eye for visual style than he is your guy! He works diligently with our customers to take their vision to reality, always exceeding their expectations. Dave keeps our office in stitches with his quick wit, impersonations, and crazy antics. He really brings meaning to the saying “Work hard, Play hard!”
When Dave is not drafting up a unique designs or being the office comedian, he enjoys time at home on the water with the people he cherishes the most; his loving wife, three daughters, son, and sweet grandchildren. He is active in his local church and enjoys serving where he can. As an avid sports fan, you may find him talking about his beloved Boston Bruins, his days serving in the U.S.Navy, or his favorite movie….JAWS.

ED TAPLEY
Graphic Designer
Ed joined us in 2015 and has proven to be a huge asset to our team. We are blown away by the talent he possesses with graphic design and vinyl application. Whether he is creating eye-catching graphics for a local business or personalizing items for clients, his work is characterized by vibrant colors and sharp lines. His passion for vinyl application goes beyond the technical aspects; he loves collaborating with clients to bring their visions to life. He often spends time discussing ideas, understanding their needs, and offering creative solutions that exceed their expectations.
In his free time, you can find Ed on countless adventures with his fiancé and stepdaughter. Whether they are at camp, riding around on their 4-wheeler, or in the woods somewhere hiking, they are always on the go and making memories!

Mike Pickering
Senior Service Technician
Mike came on board 18 years ago in 2006 and is one of our senior service technicians. He came to us with previous welding experience as he had worked at Bath Iron Works. He always comes to work with a cheerful “Morning” and is ready and willing to take on anything throughout the day. Mike works outside year-round and you will never hear him complain, whether it be rain, shine, wind, or snow. He is incredibly dedicated to his job and our customers, and we are lucky to have him as part of our team.

BEN BOWLEY
Senior Service Technician
Ben has been with us for 20 years and is one of our senior service technicians. He has a very pleasant demeanor and rarely misses a day’s work. Ben and our other technicians often work outdoors year-round — as we all know Maine’s weather is unpredictable and can be harsh. His dedication to our customers and his position is something we truly admire.
Ben’s motto is “But coffee first” … He runs on Dunkin’ for sure! When he is not in the office Ben spends time with his two children and shares his love for the outdoors with them. A few of his favorite hobbies are hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.

Tommy Townley
Service Technician
Tommy is the newest employee here at Bangor Neon coming on board in 2023. He comes to us with previous welding experience making him a perfect fit for our fabrication and installation crew. He has a larger-than-life personality and you quite literally never know what he is going to say next! He can make anyone laugh at any given moment with his off the wall commentary and he definitely keeps us on our toes. Tommy also has exceptional work ethic and is always willing to help in any way he can, whether that means he is on the road with a partner or alone, or out back in the shop building and welding.
When he isn’t at the shop he enjoys spending time with his dog Gunter. He is also an avid lover of Golf, and you can always hear him talking about when he is able to tee off next.
